Flexible hoses are date stamped at the time of manufacture and have a recomended life span of 5 years.
This example was very perished and still in date when it was removed! |
Gas lockers should have a drain to allow LPG safely out overboard in the event of a leak.
The locker should hold the bottles securely.
It should be free of other items that may block the drain as in this photo. |
Regulators have a recomended life span of 10 years.
If your boat has a regulator like the one pictured above it will be more than 10 years old. The chances are it works very well but for how much longer?
