Yachting Monthy's Crash test boat series has finished with a bang. The final episode saw the yacht filled with an explosive mix of gas and air, simulating a leak from an onboard gas bottle. The gas was ignited with devastating results. This is the worst case scenario for a gas leak on a yacht.

Two visits to Gibraltar
Back in the spring I had two trips out to Gibraltar to service gas systems on some of the fleet of charter and Sailing school yachts that are based out there. As they are British registered yachts they come under MCA coding rules and hence need Gas Safety Checks  annually.
With the ease of flying it is viable to carry out work on Yachts based in the Mediterranean.
Plymouth Classics 2010
I was an exhibitor at this years Plymouth Classic rally in Sutton harbour. With over 50 classic yachts and some great shore side entertainment as well as a many trade stands it was a successful weekend.
